Who are we?
My name is Lourdes, and I am the founder of the Patria Abud Foundation. This project began in 2017 when I decided to give back to the community by using my Christmas bonus to buy toys and sweets for underprivileged children in Constanza, Dominican Republic. At that time, I named the foundation "Christmas for Kids."
That experience renewed my heart in a way words cannot fully describe, but it changed my life forever. Since then, each year I have visited various low-income communities in the Dominican Republic, bringing joy to those who need it most.
In 2024, I have decided to rename the foundation to honor my grandmother, who was a very important person in my life. She was kind and generous, and her spirit and legacy inspire the essence of our foundation.
